DESCRIPTION
The spectacular large blooms of the Oriental Lily 'Star Gazer' make this lily one of the most popular lilies. Each large crimson-coloured bloom is sprinkled with darker freckles and the petals are edged in white. Add to that the heady fragrance and you will understand why. This lily blooms profusely in mid to late summer. You might see up to eight blooms on each sturdy stalk. Keep deadheading spent flowers and they will continue to bloom. 'Star Gazer' tolerates almost any soil, but make sure it is free-draining and watered consistently. Plant Oriental Lily 'Star Gazer' in a border in large groups, or a planter, so you can keep it close to the house to enjoy its unforgettable fragrance.
