DESCRIPTION

Stonecrop (also known as sedum) 'Autumn Joy' is a hardy perennial that will open its huge dark pink flowers in late summer, when the rest of the garden is slowing down. It continues with its riot of flowers long into the fall, turning a gorgeous rust colour. Stonecrop forms dense, large bushes with lovely green foliage. Plant them in full sun. They are not particular about the soil. 'Autumn Joy' looks lovely anywhere in the garden and can be planted in a tub to decorate a deck or terrace. Birds and butterflies love Stonecrop 'Autumn Joy' and if you keep the flowers in the fall, they will provide food to birds and brighten the garden in the winter.
